Leitner's System is a memory tool devised by Sebastian Leitner in 1972 that makes use of flashcards to memorize words or phrases. It represents a simple application of the principle of spaced repetition, which involves reviewing cards at progressively longer intervals.

When encountering unfamiliar words, phrases, or equations, users can create cards after memorization and place them in the initial compartment.
